Rev. AAW.2 Retained Cud Between 3:30 and 4:30

Obverse 76 is identified by date placement at C and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the base of the 9 and to the southwest within the 0.  Obverse 76 has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the denticles at 1:00 through 'OF'.
2.  Die crack connects the tops of '(UNIT)ED'.

Reverse AAW is rotated 5 degrees clockwise and has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT.
Rev. AAW.2:  Reverse AAW is observed with no die rotation and has developed a retained cud between 3:30 and 4:30.

Comments:  The initial date impression below the base of the 9 is broken at the center.

Variety 74a was first identified by Keith Bock, who submitted the 74a Plate Coin during early July 2018 for inclusion in this book based on the Reverse AAW retained cud.

During mid January 2019, David Killough submitted an earlier die state example of Variety 74 prior to the Reverse AAW retained cud.
