Obverse 40 is identified by date placement at LH and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the north above the left base and flag as well as to the south below the base of the 1; to the north above the ball and within the upper section of the lower loop of the 9; to the south within the loops and below the ball of the 6.  Obverse 40 has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Reverse AP.

Reverse AP is rotated 7 degrees clockwise and has acquired clash marks from a clashing event with Obverse 40.

Comments:  The Variety 41 die rotation is a static rotational attribute of this die pairing and was present during the clashing event between Obverse 40 and Reverse AP.
