Obverse 23 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif and base of the 1; to the south within the upper loop and below the base of the 9; to the south within the 0.  Obverse 23 has acquired clash marks between feathers 7, 8 and 9 from a clashing event with Reverse W.

Comments:  The Variety 18 die rotation of 8 degrees is a static rotational attribute of this die pairing and was evident during the clashing event between Obverse 23 and Reverse W
