Clash Mark Through (C)ENT


Obverse 28 is identified by date placement at LE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the south below the serif of the 1 and within the upper loop of the 9.  Obverse 28 has acquired a light clash mark in front of the eye of Miss Liberty from a clashing event with Reverse AB and has developed moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.

Reverse AB is in a similar die state as Obverse 28, with the advancement of moderately heavy to heavy die flow lines.  Reverse AB has acquired a clash mark through (C)ENT from a clashing event with Obverse 28.

Comments:  The Obverse 28 initial date impression within the upper loop of the 9 was previously unidentified prior to publication in this book.
