Obverse 42 is identified by date placement at C with date repunching that features an initial date impression to the north above the 18 and inside the lower loops of the 99.  Obverse 42 has clashed with Reverse AP.

Reverse AP has clashed with Obverse 42.

Comments:  Variety 38 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid February 2017 based on the date repunching of Obverse 42.  The initial date impression artifacts of Obverse 42 are minor, with the artifacts above the 8 even more so.

Variety 38 had experienced a clashing event between Obverse 42 and Reverse AP.  However, the clash marks have faded appreciably on the above plate coin.
