Off-Center Clash Marks


Obverse 22 is identified by date placement at LH, with a nub-like artifact below the 0 of the date.

Reverse V is identified by off-center clash marks that are located the N of ONE and EN of CENT

Comments:  The Reverse V off-center clash marks are the impressions of the denticles from another working die.  Prevailing opinion indicates that a hardened working die was was impressed against the Reverse V working die for the purpose of determining the hardness of the Reverse V working die.
